The Liberals claim nuclear will bring down energy prices. The truth? The numbers just don’t stack up.

The world’s most expensive power source: Building a nuclear power plant costs billions of dollars. Just look at the Hinkley Point C reactor in the UK—it's blown out to $71 billion and is still not finished.
Takes decades, not years: Even if we started today, nuclear power wouldn’t be up and running until the 2040s or later. That’s too late to address the urgent need for affordable and clean energy.
Who pays? You do. Every nuclear project around the world has relied on huge government subsidies—meaning taxpayer dollars would be wasted propping up a dead-end industry.
