AUSTRALIAN SPORTS COMMISSION GRANTS
Local Sporting Champions
Financial assistance for coaches, officials and competitors aged 12-18 participating in state, national or international competition. Grants may cover expenses such as competition entry fees, transport costs, accommodation, uniform and equipment.
A base grant of $500 will be awarded, with the potential for additional funds as below:
- + $100 for applicants travelling 800km - 1999km;
- + $200 for applicants travelling internationally or greater than 2000km;
- + $50 for applicants residing in a rural electorate.
Applications are open all year, but are assessed in 4 funding rounds. The below deadline is the closing date for the current round.

Play Well Participation Grant Program
Funding to support investment in innovative new or expanded programs that address barriers to sport participation and increase involvement and physical activity.
Applications that increase involvement in sport through the provision of inclusive activity experiences, OR address barriers to sport through the provision of more opportunities for community members who face the most barriers.
Deadline: 23 February 2024
Amount: $10,000 - $300,000

FOOTBALL AUSTRALIA & COMMONWEALTH BANK GRANTS
Growing Football Fund
Funding will focus on the two pillars of coaching and participation in order to encourage women and girls to take part in football.
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be located in Australia
- Have at least one women's or girls team or program
- Be registered on Football Australia's Club Changer Program and have achieved 1-Star rating
- Be registered as a club with Football Australia
Deadline: 15 December 2023
Amount: Up to $5,000
